Who is eligible to play?


All boys and girls! Kinder - 2nd can play flag football. 3rd - 6th play tackle. You must live in the Byron Nelson feeder zone.




Where is the Byron feeder zone?


If your child attends, Lakeview, Beck, Roanoke, Cox, Granger or
Hughes Elementary, then they are eligible to play




How much does it cost?


Flag - 175 Tackle - 275.




Where do I get information on uniforms?


There will be fitting dates posted with information and pricing. Our RIddell representative will be on hand to help with sizing and uniform questions.




What do I have to purchase?


Kinder- 2nd - mouthpiece or two (backups are a good idea) and cleats. 3rd thru 6th - black helmet, shoulder pads, a mouthpiece and cleats.




Where do we play football?


Surrounding communities including, Southlake, Grapevine-
Colleyville, Coppell, Argyle, Lantana, Lake Dallas and Northwest. All homes games are at Byron Nelson. See Fields For Maps to each.




Where do we have practices?


Byron Nelson Turf fields and or Independence Park. See Fields for location.s




How often do we practice?


Before the season begins, you may have up to 3 practices, once the official season begins, no more than 2 practices a week.




When are games?


Games are on Saturdays. See important dates for exact dates for season. The times vary depending on fields and teams.

Can I request a coach?


No




Can I play football on the same team that my sister cheers on?


If they are in the same grade, we will make every effort to put them together, if in a different grade they will play at grade level.




Can I request to play on a certain team?


Unless you have a sibling on the team or there are specialized circumstances, we cannot make guarantees.




What is Deadline for football Registration?


July 1st




What are payment options in regards to the issues surrounding COVID—19?


We are asking registrants to pay half on day of registration, and you may pay the remainder by May 31 if you so choose. You may certainly pay the full amount if you desire. If you have concerns or questions email us communications@bobcatyouthfootball.com




What if the restrictions from COVID-19 are still in place by mid-summer and will that affect football?


We really don’t know, we are going ahead as planned, but if the circumstances continue beyond our control and the season is cancelled, refunds will be issued.

Cheer

How much does it cost?


Registration is $175




What should I buy?


All new cheerleaders must purchase a uniform package at $178.99 All returning cheerleaders - no additional purchase is necessary as long as the uniform still fits.




When is cheer camp?


TBD. Check website for details, look for it around the first of August.




Will my child be waitlisted?


For the first time, we will not waitlist anyone for the first 24 hours after registration opens. After the 24 hours, we may begin to waitlist if the grade level is full, most likely we will be able to accommodate everyone as the football teams fill out. Please don’t worry we will make it work😊




When is the deadline to register for cheer?


May 31




Is there any exception?


No




Can I call or email to see if I can fit my daughter in?


Unfortunately no, we do this because uniform orders must be in by the first week of June.




Can I cheer on the same team that my brother plays on?


f they are in the same grade, we will make every effort to put them together, if in a different grade they will play at grade level.
